Melbourne Paintball Strategy

With more than 3 million players safely entertained at Delta Force paintball centres around the world, it’s safe to say that we’ve seen a lot of good strategies implemented on the paintball field. We’ve also seen a lot that have failed, leading to one team getting absolutely destroyed shortly after the game has begun.Read through these few basic tips on a successful strategy and you and your team will be hard to beat on your action-packed Melbourne paintball adventure with Delta Force.Get to know the game zone – You will have a massive advantage over your opponents if you and your teammates are able to make a mental map of the paintball field you are going to be playing in. If you know where the good hiding and cover spots are in the game zone then you will be a lot more confident and efficient once you get to play the field.Split up your team on the field – One mistake that people often make is all hoarding together on the field somewhere. This can make it very easy for the opposing players to take out the majority of your team in one attack. One of the best strategies to use is to split up into pairs or threes and spread out through the game zone, particularly on the flanks so the enemy team can’t go around you. Using this strategy will enable you to provide covering fire while one of your partners moves into a better position and you can attack one position from two or more points. Also, most barricades, not including the larger structures, can only provide enough cover for two to three players.Think positively – This can sometimes be easier said than done when under heavy fire but a positive mindset is important when you are playing paintball. Keeping a positive outlook will raise the morale of your team and hopefully get them to trust your tactical decisions. If you are thinking negatively then there’s a good chance that you will be a sitting target, as opposed to actively trying to take out opposing members and win the game.Keep moving and move quickly – The best strategies are the ones that are executed before the opposing team realise what’s going on. Although it may seem like a huge risk, move quickly from cover to cover. Keep in mind that your team has your back and these risks won’t seem so daunting. Plus taking these risks win you the game and make paintball the immensely fun, high adrenaline sport it is.Lastly, communicate with your team. This is vital with all sports and paintball is no different. If it helps, prepare a series of hand signals so that all players know what is happening. These simple tips if put into action will greatly increase your chances of winning.Contact us on 1300 850 744 to book your next paintball adventure.
